# Overview

**Payouts** (also called **disbursements**) are **outbound transfers** from your Transactpay merchant account to any bank account.

You can send both **single** and **bulk** payouts via:

* Your **Dashboard** (no coding required)
* The **Payout API** (automated disbursements)

Whether you're paying one freelancer or disbursing salaries to thousands, Transactpay is **fast, secure, and scalable**.

## How to Send a Payout

You have two options:

### 1. From the Dashboard

Perfect for quick, one-off or CSV-based bulk payouts.

#### Steps:

* Log in to your [Transactpay Dashboard](https://merchant.dev.transactpay.ai/dashboard/business/payout)
* Go to **Payouts**
* Click **New Payout** (single) or **Bulk Upload** (CSV)
* Enter payout details
* Submit and confirm

### 2. Via the Payout API

Best for automated, programmatic disbursements.

## Requirements to Send a Payout

Make sure you have:

### A Transactpay Account

### A Funded Wallet

### Recipient Details

You’ll need:

* Bank name
* Account number
* Account holder's full name
